Change the boot sequence, and boot from xp bootable cd. When Screen 1 appears, press R key and you will get screen 2. Screen 1
Here you need to select which window installation you need to login into. On my system its only 1, as shown in the Screen 2 below. I will press 1 and will then press enter key. Screen 2
Now I will be asked administrator password. and as soon as I provide it a correct administrator password, I will be dropped to C:\WINDOWS> prompt Screen 3 On this screen I will execute fixmbr command. it will ask for conformation before writing a new MBR. When asked I will press y and the MBR is rewritten.
Congratulation the MBR of your system is rewritten.
